By day, I'm a pimp to the American consumer whore as an award-winning advertising creative in New York City. By night, I'm a featured comedy writer, political satirist, and cartoonist at Salon, The Huffington Post, Funny Or Die, and beyond.

I've brought humor, heart, and the Oxford comma to a variety of brands, through a variety of media. For a link to my complete portfolio, just ask.
An old boss once called me a mushroom cloud of creativity.
(As his rationale for firing me.)
make 'em laugh
And watch paradigms shift in a millisecond.
It's not easy being funny when you look like a Young Republican. But on top of my day job in advertising, I do stand-up, write sketch comedy, and animate shorts — appearing most recently on Funny Or Die. I'm also a featured contributor to HuffPost Comedy and an editor's-pick cartoonist at Salon.
My cartoons have appeared on Salon's Cartoon Saturday, as well as sites like The Huffington Post, Daily Kos, and my own creation, The Misfit Penguin. It was the cartoons of The New Yorker that shaped me as a kid, and where I would kill love to one day be.
Since 2009, I've lampooned and satirized the American body politic as a humorist at HuffPost Comedy. My comedy news and political cartoons have repeatedly headlined as featured posts and earned me literally millions of dollars. (Oh, wait.)
You can lecture for a lifetime, but make someone laugh and watch their paradigms shift in a millisecond. Stand-up will always be more of an outlet than a career, but I've done dank open mics to full sets, hosted by Comedy Central's Tom Shillue.
I've lived, studied, and traveled across more than 35 countries.
(And speak nearly 10 languages absolutely terribly.)
Whether it's designing t-shirts or making soap, here are just some of the things I do in my spare time.
I work in advertising, convincing millions of Americans what's best for them. One day, I decided to find out for myself. The Crunchy Urbanite chronicles my ongoing adventures in urban homesteading, urban farming, and alternative recipes for everyday products. Yes, I make my own soap.
Gandhi once said: Be the change you want to see in the world. And obviously, he was talking about t-shirts. Which is why in 2011, I created my online bouteeque, The Misfit Penguin. The site has since grown to house 60+ shirt designs, numerous cartoons, downloads, videos & more.
I worked with NBC Top Chef's Stephen Asprinio and team to help create a crisp, intelligent brand voice for the grand opening of their new wine and pizza-focused concept restaurant, Pizza Vinoteca, located in the old Tiffany & Co. building on Manhattan's Union Square.
After college, I debated either a career in advertising or intelligence for the CIA.
(Guess who won.)

As anyone foolish enough to text me their phone number can attest, I communicate almost exclusively through GIFs — and created an entire library of actual reaction GIFs. Be afraid »
